My Meemaw’s Vindaloo?

Despite the name, this is not a cooking blog. This is my story of my Meemaws, and Pawpaws on my father’s side, Southern ancestors dead long ago. The narratives are based on facts, and my imagination.

On a whim, I started researching my genealogy. It became addictive within a couple of hours. In less than an afternoon, I was finding ancestors back to 1777. I was thrilled. The next day I was already into the late 1300’s. Amazing.

Why Vindaloo then if we are Southerners? Because my soul connection to India is so strong, my friends have convinced me I was from the Indian sub-continent in a previous life. That’s another form of ancestry…
